Restricting export to pdf and powerpoint does not work

Hello!

The problem i have - I've restricted export to powerpoint and pdf and other organization wide. Though users under RLS limitations still can export reports.

Restrictions that are set:

Both dataset and report have data export restrictions.

Using russian interface in PBI Desktop. The last option is the same in all language versions - restrict export

So the questions are:

1. Why users still can export reports topowerpoint and pdf? Or what am i missing

2. Can I restrict anayze in excel function but leave users an option of building their own report with the dataset resources?

The general guideline set by our executives for the power bi usage is to minimize any use of excel and shift all presentations for all the occasions to the PBI platform. Hence all export options must be restricted.

Thank you for your help

Hi @Anonymous ,

1. From my research , Analyze in Excel supports Row-Level Security. It's by design, please kindly take a look at this post for reference.

2. You could turn off the Allow XMLA endpoints and Analyze in Excel with on-premises datasets option in Admin portal-->Integration settings like this:
