Restricting access to visualization
Hi everyone,
I've build reports showing a bunch of visualization that need to be addressed from a defined Market Area point of view. For now, a simple filter make it possible. Each visualisation display data related to the Market Area selected with the filter.
In order to provide bechmarking certain measures are not impacted by those filters ( Calculate(...;ALL()) ) and therefore are calculated on the whole dataset ignoring the filter "Market Area".
I would like the simple filter to be associated with a role (Market Area) so specific user can only access data that are relevant to them. Yet, I'd like the benchmark to remain calculated on the whole dataset.
I believe RLS won't make it possible. Do you have any tips on how to manage this case scenario ?

No, it's not supported to limit access on visual level. However, if you want to have end user to view their relevant data only, it can be achieved with RLS.

If you need to have each user see the result of " Calculate(...;ALL())", I suggest you create a calculated column for "Total" so that it will appear on row level associated with each user.

No, it's not supported to limit access on visual level. However, if you want to have end user to view their relevant data only, it can be achieved with RLS.
