Restrict Power BI Desktop users from seeing/connecting to dataflows

Greetings all,

Power BI Desktop users in our organisation are able to see and connect the Dataflows we have created.
We don't want them to see them as they should use the Power BI semantic models we provide them (based on the dataflows).
Is there a way to restricht the apearance of the Dataflows in Power BI Desktop for users/usergroups?

Hi @Idrissshatila ,

Thanks for your reply.
Our dataflows are in restricted workspaces but this does not prevent it from showing up in Power BI Desktop for all users with a Pro license.
After posting this question I found an earlier question on this: Dataflow restrict access/use for power user
I also upvoted the following Fabric Idea which I think will resolve this: Microsoft Idea: Dataflow Permissions

If you can't separate the models and dataflows into different workspaces as @Idrissshatila suggested, then possibly remove their access to the workspace and grant them build permission on the model directly.

Hello @Some13lse ,

the only way I can think of is that you put them in a seperate workspace that they don't have access to.
