Rest API Dataset scheduled refresh -exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface token

Hi All,

I'm facing an issue - I have connected to a REST API from PBI desktop with a key and the data refresh works there but the scheduled refresh does not work and I get an error:

Unable to connect to the remote server. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: ?access_token=XXXXX

Moreover I cannot validate the Data source credentials. I have tried both anonymous and Basic(using the API system user as username and key as password, but nothing works.

Does anyone have any solutions?

    Hi   Anonymous ,

It sounds like there may be an issue with the credentials being used for the scheduled refresh. Here are a few things you can try:

    1. Double-check that the credentials being used for the scheduled refresh are correct and up-to-date.

    2. Make sure that the API key being used for the scheduled refresh is still valid and has not expired.

    3. Check that the firewall settings on the server hosting the API are not blocking the scheduled refresh.

    4. Try using a different authentication method, such as OAuth or Windows Authentication, to see if that resolves the issue.
