Helper I
1 year agoRequest Access Email Notification for Admin in Power BI Service
Hi Team,
I have published report using App in workspace. I have admin access in workspace along with other 5 admin.
When someone request access for that app I am getting notified via mails but other 5 admin not notified via mail.
Please suggest any solution to fix this.
Regards,

- Power BI sends access-request emails to the item/workspace “Contact list,” not to every admin by default. Set that contact to a mail-enabled group that contains all 5 admins.
- Steps:
- Create/use a mail-enabled M365 group with all admins.
- In the workspace: Workspace >> Settings >> Contact list >> add that group >> Save. (This becomes the fallback for items.)
- For key reports/dashboards (or the app), set Contact to the same group (… >> Settings >> Contact; for the app use Update app >> Setup >> Contact information).
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-request-access - Approve requests anytime at Update app → Permissions → Pending requests.
Helpful docs:
- Set contact list (who gets the emails):
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/service-item-contact - App settings & access requests (customize behavior / manage permissions)
