Hello everyone ,
I have a bunch of dashboards online, all of them are in direct query, they all work perfectly, good performance, fast loading.....all good....
BUT, every month....for the last 4 months, every 1st day all my reports get blank, all measures are there, all vizs are there...but blank.... refresh doesn't work, waiting doesn't work.....
if i simply download the PBIX file and open it on my desktop, everything starts working again... nothing needs to be done, no filter change, no variable change, NOTHING...simply works.... then re-upload and everything is fine again....
I've been breaking my head for the last few days but absolutely no clue of what is going on.... anyone can share some light please?
Hi @v-xicai
thanks for the reply,
i already have it updated to the lastest version, but problem persists.
directQuery works with no charm, panels that have a "Today" filter show no problem, only panels with "This Month".
Any chance the problema may be from filtering "This Month" in powerquery instead of DAX?
Any hints on "correct" way to do this filtering ?
because all dashboards work just fine, the real issue is that when the month change, the filter wont follow, it just keeps stuck in the month i defined in the original file, I am using powerquery editor to filter a large table into a smaller one, so i can keep my filters "clean" no showing unnecessary months.
thanks in advance.
Hi @Nickgastaldi ,
If your data source is the on premise data source, you need to install the Gateway and configure it correctly . See:On-premises data gateway ,Manage your data source - SQL Server .
The personal data gateway does not support datasets in DirectQuery mode, make sure you have an enterprise data gateway to support these types of datasets.
If you have installed the enterprise data gateway ,then try to upgrade to latest version.
Best Regards,
Amy
