Hi 一棵黄葛树,
We appreciate your inquiry through the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue you are facing while publishing your Power BI Desktop file to the same workspace.
To resolve this concern, please follow the steps below, which may help in addressing the issue:
- Ensure that you are using the same Power BI account in both Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service, as logging into different accounts may cause publishing issues.
- Since the report is linked to two different datasets, verify that the dataset you are publishing is identical to the one already published in the Power BI Service. Any renaming or modifications to the dataset may result in duplicate reports.
- When publishing from Power BI Desktop, ensure that the report name exactly matches the existing report in the Power BI Service, including spaces and special characters, to prevent it from being treated as a new report.
- While republishing, confirm that the Power BI Desktop file retains the same name as the existing report in the workspace. During the publishing process, Power BI should prompt you to replace the existing content. If this prompt does not appear, it may indicate a connectivity or caching issue.
- In Power BI Desktop, navigate to File > Options and Settings > Options > Global > Data Load, clear the cache, restart Power BI Desktop, and attempt to republish the file. Verify if the "Replace" prompt appears.
- In Power BI Desktop, go to Home > Transform Data > Data Source Settings, and ensure that the datasets are correctly linked and free from conflicting connections. If the report is associated with two datasets, confirm that both are up-to-date and consistent.
- In the Power BI Service, manually delete the duplicate report and dataset from the workspace. Republish the file from Power BI Desktop and check if the "Replace" prompt appears.
- After publishing, refresh your datasets in the Power BI Service to ensure all changes are reflected correctly. Open the report in the service to confirm that it displays the latest updates.
