Report showing all Blank visuals with no data after refreshing

Hello All, 

I've a report - which is totally fine on desktop  

I can assure you no page filter no Boolean data type 🙂 

after publishing - again it work/looks fine -  However after first scheduled refresh 

everything turns Blanks (all visuals) 

I then downloaded pbix from service - when first open in desktop - still showing blank - all tables & relationship are ok but empty rows , only columns  header  are visible 

The moment I hit manual refresh - all data come to live again !!!! 

any idea , help

Hi,

I would look at the security credentials that your gateway is using to connect to source.

At a guess it sounds like you're connecting to some sort of SQL database which has row level security. When you refresh in desktop it uses your credentials with permissions to the rows you need. The service however will be using some sort of service account which may be able to connect but return no data.

@bcdobbs  you are 100% correct with the sql connection and security settings 

also its our service team who connect my report thru gateway (not using my access - I'm just normal user ) 

I will ask them to check settings 

will post again once sorted
