Report on measure not showing in Power Bi Service

Hi Everyone!

I created a measure in power Bi desktop (simple measure - Substracting two colums total) and creted a card with the output.  It worked fine in desktop but when i published the report to Power Bi service the card is not being displayed and it is showing copy and mouse symbol- what does that mean?

I tried creating card in the service with the measure creted and its working.

Is this the case whenever i create a measure and try to visualize that measure, i have to do it in Power Bi Service?

Thanks in advance

Pranitha

Hi @pranim,

Can you provide the sample file to test? I can't reproduce your issue.

Hi @Anonymous

Error- Card with copy and mouse symbol.

Number card is the one created in Power Bi Srvice from the measure column. Let me know if you need more information?

Thanks,

Pranitha

Hi @pranim,

It seems odd, can you please share your pbix file to test? I will check it if it contains any specific characters.

Hello

I am having a similar issue. Quite a few measures that work in PowerBI Desktop periodically do not populate at all on PowerBI Web. They are also used in other calculations, so those other calculations are incorrect. Most of them are just things like a CALCULATE(sum(field)) with a filter also. Sometimes re-publishing the report will correct the issue, but often it will not.

Was there any outcome from the above question?

Thanks!
