Report on PBI Service using api.powerbi.com

I need to create a PowerBI report that lets us know who is viewing which PBI reports, how many views to they get a day, which reports are not used etc.  I would like to use the PowerBI API as a datasource.  I found a good artilce about a month ago, but now I can not find.

If I browse to https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/reports I get "Access to api.powerbi.com was denied".  If I use Web datasource in PBI and try to connect, I get "Access to the resource is forbiden".

I would like to see what data the API exposes and write a report, so we know which reports are being used (usage metrics) and which are not.

Any help appreciated.
