Report not getting auto refresh from Standard/Enterprise Gateway

Hi Power BI Masters,

 

Am facing auto data refresh issue from last 1.5 months with Standard Gateway. Refersh history is showing successful completion of job however dataset is not getting refreshed in Power BI Services. My data source is SAP HANA.

 

On manual refresh and publsing data from Desktop current snapshot is getting update for that day. Could you please guide steps or actions required to correct this.

    I had a semi related issue, it turns out one of my tables in Query Editor had the "Include in report refresh" unchecked. After I check this, it works. Maybe you can check that?

      Will try this option. But earlier refresh was working fine without any issue, this issue started after Apr-2021 patch/update onwards.

    Hi swsupport,

     

    Is it affected by the buffer time?

    How quickly are you checking the report after the dataset has said it has refreshed? The Dataset, Report and dashboard are seperate objects and are not all immediately refreshed after the dataset. It is in order. If the dataset refreshes, it is likely it will be 10-15 min before the report, and then the Dashboard. You can also initiate a refresh in the report after the dataset.

      Hi Link,

       

      Report is scheduled every 3 hours to pull latest updated data for analysis and decision making. User is checking the report after 30-40 minutes of schedule completion. Refreshing report after dataset update completion still not pulling new data.

        Hi swsupport,

         

        Did you connect to SAP HANA via Direct Query mode?

        It is not supported to schedule refresh dataset via DQ/LC mode.

        In DQ mode, Datasets settings shows 'schedule refresh', but what is actually performed is schedule cache refresh.
