Report empty after change of datasource
Hi,
I split my workspaces into Test and Prod. I first created Dataflow -> Dataset -> Report in the Test workspace. It worked fine to move the Dataflow -> DataSet inot my Prod workspace. However when I move the Report and change the datasource to the dataset in the Prod workspace the report is empty (empty as in not data). The dataset contains data, the lineage is correct.
Any ideas on what is wrong?

Hi __Johan__ ,
I would guess that your dataflow has a step in it that is using a field or item not found in the newer datasource. Or, it could be that one of the data sources is slightly different and that changing the source on the dataflow is discovering that issue.

Thank you for your suggestion but the dataflow+datasource is working. It is the report that connects to the dataset that is empty. I salso moved the datasource + dataflow to the new workspace first.

Perhaps clear the cache in Power BI? maybe something is hanging there that isn't "seeing" the new source. This does seem odd. When this sort of thing has happened to me, I end up clearing the cache, close and restart Power BI and then republish (even though you are using the dataflow/dataset). Have you tried that yet?
