Report changes once Published to Web

Hello,

When I created a visual in Power BI desktop, the values and data show correctly. However once I publish to the web service, the Values on the report change signifcantly.
Desktop - Average days to invoice is reporting as 2.15 days

Service - Average days to invoice is reporting as 101.67 days

All other reports and data seem to remain the same except this specific report. The Refresh is set daily and I have reset the desktop versions to compare.

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.

It appears that the issue is related to the dataset refresh, where Power BI Desktop displays the correct average, but Power BI Service reports a significantly different value.

Sometimes, Power BI Service does not fully refresh the dataset due to caching. Even if a manual refresh was performed, cached data may not reflect changes immediately. Please delete the dataset and re-publish the report from Power BI Desktop. Then, manually trigger a refresh after publishing and check if it is working correctly. If it is not, could you please share any error messages you have received in the refresh history? So that, it will be useful to assist you better.

If my response has resolved your query, please mark it as the Accepted Solution to assist others. Additionally, a 'Kudos' would be appreciated if you found my response helpful.

    Thank You.

    • Do you have incremental refresh?
    • Have you confirmed there are no filters causing the issue?

    Hi Deku,

I have daily refresh set for 3:00 MST however I did manually refresh both before taking the screen shots.
The filters have not changed from what was set on the Desktop. There are no additional filters added to the report after publishing.
