Report builder - Unable to render paginated report error

Hi There, 

 

I created a paginated report in Power Bi Report Builder. In the desktop application, the report runs without any errors. I am using a Microsoft SQL server management studio database. All gateways are set up and running. 

I published the report to the Power Bi Service but now I get the below error when trying to run the report:

 

 

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

    Hi Annemie19,

    SSMS is a management tool that can be used to connect to SQL server DB or SQL server analysis service DB. What type of data source are you test? Connection mode?

    BTW, your error message seems like relate to data source connections.  Can you please share more detailed information to help us clarify these?

        Hi Annemie19,

        Which version of the report builder client are you test? Any firewall rule or policy changes on your device? Did these connection string work well when you test with other connection tools on the same device? (please test both ip/port and server name, sometimes one of these methods does not work on specific devices)

        I'd like to suggest you share more detailed information to help us confirm if this issue related to a specific device or client version.
