Report Sharing

I created a report and gave URL to my colleague and he cant access it. But when I create a dashboard and pin that report and then share that dashboard they can see the dashboard.

How can they see the report without linking to a dashboard?

Hi there currently that is the way that it works is that you have to Share a Dashboard for the people to see the underlying report.

Another option might be to create a content pack and then they can access the content pack and view the reports that way?

Hi!

I can't publish in a link the report I developed because I have a Power BI free account.

Can you help to understand if I need to have a PRO Account and want to understand if all viewers and not developers can have only free.

Thank You

Hi there

When you are sharing any Power BI content, both the person sharing the content and then person viewing the shared content will require a Power BI Pro license.

The other alternative is Power BI Premium, which has a higher cost, where free users can view content that is shared via the App.

Hi @Anonymous,

You can also try to add these users to a group. Then you can add a dashboard to group space or directly publish the report to group, all of the members can see the shared dashboards.
