Report Sharing (New User)

Hi,

I am new to Power BI and have now generated a few reports.

When I come to share the reports to other users in my organisation, they cannot be viewed by the recipients.

I have tried all sorts of scenarios wit the access permission settings to na avail.

The Microsoft help bot is less than useless.

My licence type is: Premium Per User

Can somebody help please.

Mike.

To author, publish & share a report you need a minimum Pro license.

To consume the same the end user two options available

1. needs a Pro ,
2. the report needs to be in Premium capacity to be viewed without Pro

On the other hand , if you are Premium Per user , then to view the content shared by you, the end user also needs Premium per user.

Hi,

Thanks for this.

I will speak to my IT team to see what can be done.

Cheers,

Mike.

In your case, to consume shared reports by you, the end user also needs Premium per user.

This protocol seems a bit crazy?

I produce a Report.

I set Access Permissions and share.

I would expect that whoever I share with, should be able to just simply view.

What is the minimum licence that can be used to view the Report?
