Report Server dataset as data source in Power BI Service

Hi

 

Is it possible to use an on prem hosted dataset in Power BI Report Server as a data source in the Power BI Service via a gateway?

It is pretty much a regular Tabular Analysis Service model right? So I see no reason why it should not be possible?

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    Maybe you should not be able to connect to the Report Server dataset with Power BI Service.

    If you need, you can connect the data source that creates the Report Server dataset.

     

    Please refer this link about the difference between report server and Power BI service.
