Report Downloading Issue from Power BI service
- 1 year ago
Anonymous could you sharescreenshot?
After running that API, if it responded with code 200 it means everything is fine.
The original report would still not be downloadable, but the new report that you published has now completelly the same layour/design/functionality as the original report.
And this one you can download and later republish (override) the original file.
Here is detailed version on the blog: https://data-trekking.com/2025/02/20/how-to-download-a-non-downloadable-report-from-power-bi-service/

Hello Vamsi_468
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community.
We understand you are facing difficulties downloading reports from Power BI Service , likely due to export and download permission restrictions at the workspace or tenant level.
- If you can download reports from other workspaces but not from a specific one, it is possible that download permissions are restricted within that workspace. Please verify access level to ensure the necessary permissions are in place.
- Additionally, reports with Sensitivity Labels (such as Confidential or Highly Confidential), Row-Level Security (RLS), or those using DirectQuery/Live Connection datasets cannot be downloaded. To enable downloading, ensure the report is based on an Import Mode dataset.
