Report Cache in Power BI Service

We have embedded reports in our custom application.

We are using Live Connection using SSAS cubes on Premise.  We understand no data is stored in Power BI Service when using Live Connection.

But in Power BI Security White Paper, we have below comment:
For Power BI reports, data for the visuals shown are cached encrypted in Azure SQL Database.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/whitepaper-powerbi-security

We see that there is mention in the Data Storage and Movement section that no data is getting stored in the Power BI service

Analysis Services on-premises, and DirectQuery – nothing is stored in the Power BI Service

Above 2 statements seem to be contradicting.

We would like to know if any application data is getting stored in the Service, apart from the report metadata.  Please let us know.

    hi, Anonymous

If you use live connection, when you do interaction with report, it will send the query to data source, the result data cache will store in there.

and there is no application data is getting stored in the Service for liveconnection.

    Best Regards,

    Lin

      Thanks for your reply Lin.

      When you mention below:

it will send the query to data source, the result data cache will store in there.

Where does the data cache get stored in - is it in the Azure database, Browser Cache or PBI Service and in what format?
