Report Builder Not Working With Thai Language
Hi all,
I have been try using the Report Builder, connecting via Oracle Database. The data I work with has Thai language. When I run the query in preview it can read Thai fine, but when I create the table then run the report, all Thai text turns into tofu. Does anybody encounter this and has any idea for a fix? Because to reiterate, it can read Thai fine in preview.....
Thanks very much all
Yeah no it doesn't work either. I had a silly brainwave and changed the font just for kicks, turns out the default font Segoe UI doesn't support Thai language hence the tofu. I changed to Calibri and it immediately works. I then tried it in Word just for kicks and when I tried to switch from English to Thai, Word will automatically change the font from Segoe UI to Calibri. I'm not sure if Report Builder is supposed to have a similar feature, but yes, manually changing the font does work.

Hi prapatsorn ,
Did It used to be normal, but suddenly something went wrong? Have you tried other languages to see if they can be loaded normally? Does this have anything to do with your language settings?

This is my first go at it, I don't have dataset in other languages to try out though (aside from English which does work). As for the language settings, I have English (US) as Windows display language, and have a Thai keyboard installed. I'm not sure if that's what you meant but I genuinely don't think I have a configuration that's any out of the ordinary.....

For the language setting, select View\Properties. Then select the gray area outside of the report canvas. You will see Localization\Language option. Not sure it will help, but worth a try.

Can try setting the language code on the tablix, th-TH might help. You can see language settings in the properties pane when the tablix is selected.

I don't see it.... in Tablix Properties there are only settings for General, Visibility, Filters, and Sorting. Is this the right menu?
