Repeated refresh failure
I am having major issues today with refresh. My reports are failing due to credentials but the credentials are not the issue. Here is the error message I am getting: Failed to update data source cre...
and BOOM, just like that . . . I fixed it. It was the gateway. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and revalidated my credentials. Now it is working.
Sorry, I should have provided more details. The excel file is in one drive. The sql server database is on premise. The refresh failure is occuring within a group. I can, obviously, refresh the dataset through the desktop and upload that to the group files area. The failure sites invalid credentials but they are windows credentials and . . . well I am logged in and working.
And, forgot to add, personal gateway.
OK, I imported and connect to an Excel file on OneDrive for Business and was able to refresh them. Not sure if that exactly mimics your scenario or helps you in any way whatsoever.
