I get errors every few days with some reports when automatically updating the dataset.
Can I set somewhere that a new attempt should be made after x minutes if something goes wrong?
At the moment it just switches to the next update time.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Incidentally, the problem was a conversion of evaluations to Power BI Premium and too little RAM on the local gateway for updating.

Hi , @Niemeyer
Based on my research and experience, the Power BI will make some internal retries for the dataset refresh process when the connection can't work or met some other issues, after all the internal retries falied, it will finally failed with the corresponding error code given, so my suggestion if you requirement is to make sure the dataset refresh can be retried when the initial refersh failed, the Power BI has done it internally, you may also feel free to set more scheduled times during the period that you require the data to be the latest in order to avoid the influence.
Please feel free to follow this offical document:

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!
