Removing Report/Page Filter in Reading View

I have a report in the Power BI Service to which I added a Report Filter. I then went into Reading View on that report. The filter itself worked fine. However, in Reading View, I was able to click the X in the upper right of the Filter and it permanently removed that filter from the report. I was under the impression that permanent changes could not be made in Reading View. Can we clarify that? Thanks.

Adding to that observation, something is wrong or inconsistent with filters in the Service at the moment.

Page Level

  • Add a Page Level Filter and then switch to Reading View
  • Click the X to remove the filter (as Mark said, should this be possible?)
  • Go to another report and then go back to the original one, and the Page Level Filter is back

Report Level

  • Add a Report Level Filter and then switch to Reading View
  • Click the X *OR* leave it alone
  • Go to another report and then go back to the original, and the Report Level Filter is no longer there regardless of whether you removed it or not by clicking X
