Refreshing the underlying data from SharePoint Online List
I have a Power BI report built on SharePoint Online List data. After creating the report, I published it in Power BI and consuming it from a SharePoint Online Site page. However, whenever I refresh my page, it is not picking up the refreshed data from SharePoint Online list. I can still go in the DataSets tab and refresh the data source manually. How can i allow refreshing of data from Report?
ajain No. Direct Query and Live Connection both have limited data sources that can use that. Those primarily being databases or Analysis Services instances.

ajain Go to the Dataset and schedule a refresh. This isn't a live connection to your SharePoint list, you can schedule a refresh up to 8x per day via the dataset. Since you are using SharePoint online, you do not need to set up a gateway and this should just work.
