Refreshed date not updated after dataset refresh through XMLA end points

I'm setting up refreshes of Power BI datasets through XMLA end points. I get the commands to work and data in the dataset is updated in Power BI service - but the time stamp for "Refreshed" does not ...

Yes, sorry, you mentioned that already.  Do you have access to the tenant audit logs?  They have more detailed refresh statistics, and they don't care what initiated the refresh.
