Hi,
Doing the following
1) Have dataflow which gets data for a dimension being refreshed daily in service - ecah day a new date added
2) Have a dataset which refreshes daily at abou 1.00 p.m. after dataflow refresh complete - the dataflow also refreshes daily at 09.00 a.m.
However, the dataset but doesn't include the latest data from the dataflow.
Any thoughts why?
Thanks
please review statement #2 - something got garbled during posting.
How do you know that the dataflow refresh completed successfully?
Hi,
Thanks for reply.
Updated 2) as had been copy and paste from another e-amil by mistake.
I can see dataflow completed successfully by looking at the refresh history and editing the table and seeing the latest data in the dataflow itsellf.
Thanks
You may want to look into using Power Automate. It has a trigger "Dataflow refresh completed" that you can use to request the dataset refresh. That avoids schedules and their potential conflicts.
Thanks for suggestion.
However, dataflow refreshes way before datasets thus power automate should not be necessary in oure example - coudl undertstand if was possibly some delay bit not seeing that here in refresh times.
The dataset has incremental refresj on the fact table and uses datflows for the dimensions.
