Refresh sharepoint data from sharepoint excel file on Power BI.com

I can refresh the data in the desktop app, but not once I post the dataset on Power BI, I get a credentials error. I believe I need a gateway, but not 100% sure.

Use authentication type = OAuth2 and Privacy = Organizational

Can you share screenshot expanding the gateway connection
It seems you are using SharePoint 2013 onpremise

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you get data from sharepoint excel file, you can just import data from the arrow icon on the left-bottom of power bi service, then enter your sharepoint site url. And import mode.

This dataset will be refreshed from sharepoint without gateway. The screenshot of dataset settings as the following picture. No Gateway Connection.

If you have multiple data sources, then you need to install gateway.

Can you share what error message you are reciving and confirm if you are using SharePoint online not SharePoint 2013
