i manage the Power BI gateway for my department; the "On-premises data gateway" is housed on a Virtual machine to which I have access. All the folders to which I have access on my computer (Teams, Onedrive, etc) are also accessible inside the Virtual machine. For some of our Power BI Dashboards, we have FOLDER data sources, the folders contain excel files that are some of the data sources for some of the PBI Dashboards. When I update the excel file or add an excel file in the FOLDER data source, the version of the file on the Virtual machine has a BLUE CLOUD icon under Status. Until this BLUE CLOUD is changed into a GREEN CHECKMARK, the Power BI dashboard that uses the Folder/File will not refresh. As of now, the only way I can turn the BLUE CLOUD into a GREEN CHECKMARK is by opening and closing the file. This is not good since I'm the only person with access to the Virtual machine. SO, I'm wondering anyone in this community has a solution for this problem? Thanks in advance.

In such a scenario do not use the Folder connector. Use the Sharepoint Folder connector.
Not sure how this is related to the gateway though?
