Refresh from Service Fails but from Desktop it works fine

I am having an issue with refreshing the Power BI Service.

Here is the message I am receiving when I try to refresh the data.

Last refresh failed: Mon Sep 11 2017 09:39:46 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)

There was an error when processing the data in the dataset.

Message: The command has been canceled.

Cluster URI: WABI-US-EAST2-redirect.analysis.windows.net

I have this data in Power BI desktop and I can refresh anytime without fail. If I then Publish and try to update again from the Service I get the above error. Not sure why updating from Desktop works fine but updating from Service fails.

After publishing the desktop to the service I have verified all the visuals and tables and everyone one of them are working in both places.

Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

I am facing the same error, but my database is linked to a SQL Server Database.

Opened a ticket but yet to resolve.

I hope someone will help us.

@ascott @naman_veer2710,

What is your data source and what is the size of your dataset? Also we need to know that if you have Power BI free account or pro account.

Regards,
Lydia

Hi,

I have a Pro Account. My data source is VSTS REST api's and my dataset size is around 100k rows.
