Hi @IlayajShaik

In practical terms, this error is not about DAX or query logic; it is about the connection between the Power BI Service and your data source.

Approach 1 – Operational, quick fix

  • Go to Dataset Settings > Data source credentials.

  • Select Edit credentials, sign in again, and save.

  • Run a manual refresh to confirm the issue is resolved.

Approach 2 – Structural prevention

  • Verify gateway status and gateway credentials (if used).

  • Introduce or refine the use of service accounts for data connections.

  • Ensure regular scheduled refresh and a clear process for updating credentials whenever passwords or security policies change.

If this response was helpful in any way, I’d gladly accept a 👍much like the joy of seeing a DAX measure work first time without needing another FILTER.

Please mark it as the correct solution. It helps other community members find their way faster (and saves them from another endless loop 🌀.

If this response was helpful in any way, I’d gladly accept a kudo.
