Refresh fails for import mode with Fabric DWH

Hi. If I remember correctly, Fabric lakehouse and warehouse is requiring to add them as cloud shareable sources in order to let them use credentials. You should create the cloud connection and map it in the picture you are showing. You can check this articles explaining how to do it.

I'm pretty sure once you create the connection and map it, it will let you refresh.

As correctly pointed out by ibarrau , you need to create a cloud connection and then map your dataset to use new data source.
You can follow these steps:

1. Go to Power BI Service->Workspace-> Data Sources.

2. Click "New connection".

3. Choose Microsoft Fabric / OneLake as your source.

4. Provide the DWH details and authenticate using:

   • Your personal account or

   • A Service Principal (recommended for automated refreshes).

5. Map the Connection->, map your dataset to use this new data source

6. Go to the Dataset settings-> Data source credentials.

7. You should now see your cloud connection as a selectable source.

8. Select it and save
