Refresh failed due to gateway configuration issues

Refresh failed due to gateway configuration issues.

I've got this error in different context. I use on-premise datagate (personal mode). The dataset is configured with both sql server connection and sharepoint web connection. It refreshes online on demand from my user account. But from another user account who is accessible to the dataset, it doesn't refresh.  I set up credentials correctly of course.

I've removed the dataset and re-published, and updated the personal mode data gateway service. But still don't refresh with same error message.

Here is the detailed error info:

Refresh failed due to gateway configuration issues.

This dataset requires a properly configured gateway in order to refresh.

If you're using personal mode, please make sure your gateway is online.
If you're using enterprise mode, please make sure you've added the following data sources in the Gateway Management Portal

    Manda ,

So the other user account has access to the dataset in app workspace, right? Please check if the account can configure the sharepoint credentials in the dataset pane.

In addtion, also check if the data gateway is the latest version and running well on server.

Yes. And the gateway is latest and functioning ok.

But about dataset configuration, it seems there is no other way than the other account need to take over dataset configuration made by administrator user. So it means the all other dataset connection credentials except sharepoint file would be comrpomised to other user. Am I right?

        Manda ,

Yes, you are right, The dataset owner has the permission to configure credentials for dataset, and only the admin user can take over the dataset.
