Refresh failed Resource Governing

Hello,
I am trying to refresh my semantic model in PBI Service but I keep getting this error:
Data source error: Resource Governing: This operation was canceled because there wasn't enough memory to finish running it. Either reduce the memory footprint of your dataset by doing things such as limiting the amount of imported data, or if using Power BI Premium, increase the memory of the Premium capacity where this dataset is hosted. More details: consumed memory 23825 MB, memory limit 23824 MB, database size before command execution 1775 MB. See https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2159753 to learn more.

I wonder if the issue is due to the amount of data or to the power query transformation. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Thank you.

Hi @MT123456

It appears to me that it could be the power. query transformation steps which are consuming a lot of memory. I would suggest making sure if you are using any merge conditions to only bring in the columns that are needed Another alternative is to you use the incremental refresh policy which would bring in all the data but on a daily basis which could also reduce your memory consumption!
