Refresh completed with warnings
I am facing the an issue in Power BI where the dataset refresh displays the message : "Refresh completed with warnings". Although the refresh completes successfully and the data is loaded, the presence of warnings is concerning. Ideally, the refresh should complete without any warning and ensure that all data is loaded accurately. How can I resolve this issue to ensure a clean, error-free refresh?
It looks like some columns or tables have been modified or removed. Can you review them in Power Query?
Also, the “Sort by Column” setup seems to have an issue. Kindly check the data types and configuration to ensure proper sorting.

Hi Akashkokne1023 ,
This usually means your data loaded, but something didn’t go perfectly. It’s worth fixing, because warnings often hide data quality or refresh risks.
Click on show button next to the query to check what went wrong.
These are the common scenariors for this error populated
You’ll usually see messages like:
- Column conversion failed
- Null values replaced
- Query timeout
- Data source errors
Column conversion failed - Text column contains numbers + text → converted to number → warning
Null values replaced - Columns have NULLs or unexpected values
Query timeout - ransformations not pushed to database → inefficient → warnings
Data source errors - Data source timeout/ gateway issues
Column Removed or renamed
Relationship/model warnings
Please click on show button to identify the root cause and try to fix it

Hi Akashkokne1023 ,
Thanks for sharing the details, and thanks to the Shashi_Kant & InsightsByV for the guidance.
Just following up were you able to check the “Show” details and apply the fixes?
From your screenshot, the warning is due to,
- Missing tables/columns still being referenced
- A “Sort by column” configuration issue
After updating/removing those and fixing the sort, please refresh again and confirm. If it still shows warnings, share the latest “Show” output and we’ll help you close it out.
Thanks,

I just found this blog - which is very relevant to the recent refresh warning issues multiple users are having after March'26.

Hi Akashkokne1023 ,
Thanks for sharing the blog that’s very relevant.
Just following up with the OP could you please confirm if you had a chance to review the “Show” details and apply the suggested fixes?
As mentioned, these warnings are now being surfaced more explicitly, so fixing the underlying model issues should clear them.
Please share an update when you can, happy to help further if needed.
Thanks,
Akhil.
