Refresh Report with data from deleted source files

I have a report uisng excel files. The configured sceduled refreash worked.

Now some of the excel files are deleted and the refreash failed.

 

The deleted files used data which won't change anymore. So i thought, if the dataset contains those data from the old loads, i can exclude those files from the refresh.

 

"Include in report refreash option" doesn't work, beacause i get mising data source error when i try to save the change from the query editor.

 

Is there a way to exclude the deleted source files from the refreash but keep their already excisting data in the report?

    Hi LuITS 

     

    I'm presuming that these file were all the same and were being imported into Power BI from SharePoint or OneDrive folder?

     

    If yes, 

    It could be that one of the original excels was used as an example when loading into Power for the first time for the following Excels that was added later. Power BI will look for the file name and if it isn't there, then the refresh fails.

     

    Maybe you can keep the original file?
