Refresh Issue on Service "Column wasn't found"

Hi All,

I'm trying to create a report using Salesforce Objects.

When I refresh on PowerBI Desktop, I don't have any issues.

However, when I publish to Service and try to refresh, I get an issue like this:

As a solution, I remove the specific column on PowerBI Desktop and re-publish to the Web Service.

There are no refresh errors when using the Desktop App, and usually the Web Service report works for a few refreshes before the same error comes up but with a different column name. This has happened multiple times.

Would this issue likely be something happening in the backend on Salesforce that is changing these objects? Or would I have configured my reports/datasets incorrectly?

  • Have a word with your SFDC admins. Ask them to keep their custom object attributes more stable, or at the very least to inform you of changes.

Thanks for the support Ibendlin, I'll get in contact with my admins then. Glad it's not my report itself that could be the issue!
