Refresh Failed Notification To Include Workspace name and URL
PowerBI Notifications to include Workspace Name
When a report refresh is paused (possibly due to inactivity), PowerBI sends out an email notification to owner mentioning the report/dataset name but more importantly the Workspace name. However, when a scheduled report refresh fails (possibly due to errors in source data or lack of resources etc) PowerBI does send out email citing the report name but No mention of Workspace.
This lead me thinking surely it should be possible for Microsoft to include Workspace name (hyperlink to its URL) in failed report refresh messages. This is particularly important when you have same set of reports deployed across multiple project specific workspaces and when such a failed refresh email comes you don't know which workspace it belongs to until you click on the Report name URL which takes you to the Scheduled Refresh page where you can see Workspace name. If the Workspace name gets included in email notification, it can save some time as then you simply forward it to the person responsible for fixing the source files.
Anyone else noticed this behaviour? Not sure any such idea has been submitted?

KD
