Refresh Error Unable to connect to Datasource

Starting on afternoon 12/16 my schedualed refreshes of dashboards started failing resulting in the Unable to connect to datasource error (below). There has been no change to the server infrastructure an according to the Power Bi Gateway manager the gateway is "Online: you are good to go" and the dataset source itself returns "Connection Successful". 

I have attempted to use multiple gateways on different servers but the results are the same. has anyone else had this problem?

I need to ask a few questions to judge: Is it only this data source that failed to refresh? How long has the situation lasted? How long was the refresh duration when it was normal (you can check in the dataset>> refresh history)? Is there a data source other than sql in this dataset? Is refreshing successful using 'Refresh Now' in the service? Is refreshing successful in the desktop?

HI @JohnKrisa ,

The gateway software was recently released with an update.  Have you confirmed that the software on the server has been updated?  That said, the error is stating the SQL is timing out.  After confirming that the gateway software is updated, you might want to modify your query to extend the timeout time on your query(ies).
