Recovery key is incorrect please try again later. client forgot the password.

Hi team,

 

I have installed on premises gateways in laptop. I have use existing cluster name it is coming automatically but that recovery key has set something by client they forgot that key. How to know that password or recovery key. I have attached screen shot.

    Hi. I'm sorry but I don't think you can recover the recovery key. If you want to create a cluster without the key, you might need to uninstall and reinstall a new gateway from scratch as cluster. If you don't have too many configured sources on the gateway, go ahead and do it. If you have a lot be sure to take the time of completing a document with all the sources so you don't forget. You can use the Rest API to get the sources to compare: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/gateways/get-datasources
