Hi everyone,
I am using PowerBI to monitor the total length of modelled piping in an engineering project. As our designers continue to model more pipes each day, this value is always increasing.
To maintain a record of this data over time, I currently use a small CSV file where I manually input the measurement from PowerBI along with the date, each morning. E.g:
Date ______ | _ MeterageInModel
18/02/2023 | 1100
19/02/2023 | 1200
20/02/2023 | 1300
21/02/2023 | 1400
22/02/2023 | 1500
I wonder if it is possible to automate this process. For example, by using a Python script that is triggered each time the report is refreshed? Maybe Pandas could export this calculated value as a new line in an external CSV. Does that make sense?
Thank you very much.
