Greetings,
End Goal: I would like to create a dashboard with navigation or use splicers to show different entities reports. The report will be the same across the board (same semantic model) that can tell the story of an organization that consists of 13 different entities.
Problem: I'm struggling to understand the best way to create (1) simple report that multiple users can update regularly that will be reflected on the dashboard.
Context: I have 13 small organizations that are different in name but all report the same data: (personnel status, finances, facility management, and upcoming events) [names, numbers, and comments]. Management wants access to all data but in are bi-weekly meetings only needs to see one dashboard with most important information presented in one place (one dashboard).
Challenges: (1) Simple report for entities to update on a regular basis. (2) Entities all have power bi, but do not currently use. Teams is the primary reporting tool. (3) I receive - along with the entities - a power bi report of current financial status. I could simply do that (automate) that for them. But may not be the best long-term solution. (4) No SQL access. (5) Leadership at the entities changes annually (including my position).
In Progress: I have zeroed in on creating a semantic model on sharepoint lists that will gather the data from the different entities. Will incorporate a way to change the naming convention based upon which entity updates.
Any recommendations or support would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi @ecpdx ,
Hi Akash, thank you!
Quick clarification - I forgot to mention future proofing the reports for archiving. Can the entities then update the report in power bi or is it better to have them use the sharepoint lists every time they update. I'm not familiar with the built in archiving process in power bi.
Thank you! You are great....
