Rebind API for paginated report is returning 400 bad request

Hello,

I have created a Power BI paginated report template using a sample dataset from a sample workspace. I wanted to rebind that report template to another dataset which contains real time data.

I have N number of workspaces containing a single dataset in each.

I am trying to deploy the paginated report template in each of the workspace and rebind it to the dataset in that workspace.

I am using the Rebind API to do this and getting 400 bad request response.

Can we rebind the paginated report using Rebind API in Power BI ?
Or If I want to change the dataset dynamically using API how can I achieve this?

Hi

Rebind API is only for Power BI Desktop reports and not for paginated reports.

I think you can use Deployment pipeline rules to change the data source but I am not sure whether this approach fits for your scenario.

This topic is discussed already. See here - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Paginated-Report-and-Deployment-Pipeline-dataset-source-cha...

Thanks

Hari
