Re-link Onedrive Excel with Power Bi online dataset

Hi all,

I have a Power bi online report that was unlinked with the OneDrive Excel sheet. The file has the same name and is in the same folder, but for some reason, the dataset doesn´t find the file, so it can't be refreshed.

Is there any way to reconnect it?

Thank you very much

Claudio

Hi @cnitscher

You might try to remove the dataset and reconnect it, here's an article for your reference:

Hi,
If I try to remove the dataset, power bi alerts me that it will remove the reports that are associated. And I will have to setup those reports again.

Hi there

You would need to go into the Excel file, find the link and use that as the data source in your PBIX

Here is a link on another way to complete it: https://powerbi.tips/2016/09/loading-excel-files-from-sharepoint/

Power BI Blog

Hi, thank you for your answer!

My Power Bi Panel was made online and not with Power Bi desktop, so what I need is to make that link in the web environment and not through PowerBi desktop.

Is there any way to do that?

Regards

Claudio
