Hi HFT
A1 SKU is part of the legacy Power BI Premium model, suited for basic workloads but with limited scalability and features. It offers lower upfront costs but is being deprecated. In contrast, the F64 SKU is part of the modern Microsoft Fabric platform, supporting unified analytics across Power BI, Lakehouse, and more. It delivers higher performance, better scalability, and improved cost efficiency. If this post was helpful, please consider marking Accept as solution to assist other members in finding it more easily.

Hi HFT ,
- If your main goal is to embed Power BI reports and dashboards directly into your app and you're looking for a cost-effective solution, the A1 SKU is a better choice. It's designed specifically for embedding scenarios and gives you the essential features you need without the extra overhead.
- On the other hand, if you're aiming for a more powerful analytics setup that goes beyond just reporting like handling complex data integration, leveraging AI, or deep data exploration—the Fabric F64 capacity might be a better fit. It’s built for scale and packed with advanced capabilities to support a wider range of analytics needs.

The Azure sales support team recommended using the F64 SKU instead of A1, stating that F64 is more cost-effective. They also mentioned that the A1 SKU will be phased out, and we will need to rely on Fabric capacities moving forward. This has left me uncertain about which license I should choose.
