RLS not working for Contributor access on workspace

Hi,

We have a scenario where we want to user to be a contributor to the workspace.. but once the access changed to contributor, RLS is not getting applied. Is this is expected ? please can someone help.

Requirement is to restrict the contributor to see only the his country/division sales.

Hi @powerbi-user ,

In your scenario, the contributor role have edit permission, so the RLS roles will not be applied to them. Users will be able to see all of the data. While you may assign viewer role to the users, then the RLS will be applied.

Swapnil - did you post your idea? If so can you post a link? I will go and upvote it. Having contributors where the RLS can be applied is VERY much needed. Thanks for calling this out.
