RLS not working for Contributor access on workspace

Hi,   We have a scenario where we want to user to be a contributor to the workspace.. but once the access changed to contributor, RLS is not getting applied. Is this is expected ? please can someon...

    It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Please can you advice if there is any plan for microsoft to allow RLS on contributor access as well.

Swapnil - did you post your idea? If so can you post a link? I will go and upvote it. Having contributors where the RLS can be applied is VERY much needed. Thanks for calling this out.
