RLS is not working as expected in Direct Query mode
Hi All,
I'm using SQL Server as my data source and using direct query mode to develop the reports.
We have a table called 'User ID' and on this we are creating roles in power bi.
User ID=Userprinciplename()
When we publish to service and after adding the email id under seurity tab for the created role, still the dashboard is displaying all data by omitting RLS.
Is I'm missing something can any one suggest me the RLS in Direct Query Mode.
Thanks,
Anand
Hey AnandNamburi ,
can you show the code how you implemented the DAX rule?
Did you test the role in Power BI Desktop? Did it work there? In order for the rules to apply, the user need "viewer" permission. Did you check that the users have viewer permission and nothing higher?
If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution βοΈ and give it a thumbs up π
Best regards
