RLS in new workspaces

I am unable to get RLS to work in the new workspaces.  I have a report with RLS in a classic workspace.  It properly applies the security roles.  When I deploy it to a new workspace (i.e. not classic), it's as if there is no security defined.  Help!

    Followup... I thought perhaps the issue was that the users had the "member" role in the workspace rather than "viewer" so I changed their roles to viewer.  No luck...

      hi lburgess - Silly question, but have to reassinged users to the RLS roles after deploying to the new workspace?

    Hi lburgess , 

     

    If you publish your Power BI Desktop report to a workspace in the Power BI service, the roles will be applied to read-only members. You'll need to indicate that members of new App workspace can only view Power BI content in the new App workspace settings.
