RLS has moved to Power BI Desktop
Hi there,
I have a permission table build into my model on PowerBI desktop. When I login into service try to add email address under security. Below is the error message.
I am currently on PowerBI Pro licence, I was able to set up RSL successfully in the past. Can anyone help?

In the past I set up the role called permission and used userprincipal function in Manage roles.
I have tried to use your method, it worked too. As number of people need to access to this model far less than last time.

Hi TomatoKnight,
You can set RLS in the Power BI Desktop.
Modeling->Manage Roles
After setting it up here and then publishing to the service, your settings for the role will be published.
