RLS for editor in Power BI Services
Even if I know that RLS doesn't work for editor, I try to have a workaround. I can accept that if you have Power BI Deskdop no RLS is applicated because your in a personnal use but in Power BI Services, you are in a managed BI so I can't understand why you doesn't have RLS whatever the type of use : self-service or content use. So it's the reason I try workaround.
I tried to add a procedure for my users to systematically add a report filter in PB services in the beginning of analysis data but USERPRINCIPALNAME() work only with measure so no possible to add a report filter comparing user principal and a table user...
But it's doesn't work. Any other ideas ? I'm not probably alone...

Hi Laurent_Huon
To systematically add a report filter in PB services, you could set RLS in Power BI (both Desktop and Service).
In Desktop, create a table including the user name and emails which users use to log in Power BI, then create a column to define which rows to show for each user, next create relationships between them.
(the calculated column can use "SWITCH" or "IF" DAX function, or create a conditional column in Edit Queries.)

Thanks but this issue is only OK for members. My purpose is to have the same security for users who have rights to create a dashboard in Power BI Services based on prepublished datasource. The RLS doesn't work for this kind of user and I can't open all my data to the global perimeter.

Hi Laurent_Huon
"My purpose is to have the same security for users who have rights to create a dashboard in Power BI Services based on prepublished datasource. "
these users can see all data of the dataset, right?
How do they get the permission? are they members who can edit in an App workplace?
